  • In Surgical oncology, the affected part will be removed with the help of surgery and would be sent for biopsy for further investigation. The biopsy will help in diagnosing the stage and the type of cancer which will help in further treatment.

Hematologist-Oncologist treats and diagnoses different types of blood cancers like myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia. The pediatric oncologist treats kids and teenagers who have cancer. There is some cancer that is common in adults too like brain tumors, leukemia, osteosarcoma, and others; they can also visit pediatric oncologist for treatments. On the other hand, a gynecologic oncologist will give treatment for cancer that develops in the uterus and reproductive parts of the body like ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer.
